Recession be damned! Poker players seem to be ponying up the buy-ins for WSOP events more than ever. The $1k stimulus special sold out at 6000 entrants. Many other tournaments have sizable growth from last year, despite the worsened economic situation.
It will be interesting to see how many line up for the main event. Could we hit 7000 again? Probably not, but it’s possible and would be very exciting!
